That’s how I am!
This is a syncretical performance, born from a dramaturgy based on scientific principles: the beginning of life, the creation of identity, and our historically repeated mistakes as a human collective. Let’s laugh at ourselves without making a comedy, is that possible? That’s just how I am!. We’ve all heard this line so many times, born of pride or even, of feeling offended. In an act of honesty and humility, this inertia is questioned: What the hell does that mean?! Have I ever even stopped for a second to really, really ask myself, Who am I?? A performance acting as an exorcism of the Dunning-Kruger Effect and its not-so-fun consequences in our daily lives.
Maisa Sally Perk, with her experienced eye for movement, acted as the assistant director. Her help was essential for the development of this piece.
The first performances were presented under a performative conference format. Later, the piece was transformed in a poetry and movement solo.

¡Es que yo soy así!
Riámonos de nosotros mismos sin hacer una comedia, ¿es eso posible? ¡Es que yo soy así!. Tantas veces hemos oído esta frase, nacida con orgullo o incluso, cierto sentimiento de ofensa. En un acto de honestidad y humildad, dicha inercia es cuestionada: ¡¿qué demonios significa eso?! ¿Acaso me he parado a preguntarme por un segundo ¿Quién soy yo?? Una performance como exorcismo al efecto Dunning-Kruger y sus -no tan divertidas consecuencias en nuestra cotidianeidad.
Maisa Sally Perk participó con su ojo experimentado como asistente de movimiento. Su apoyo fue imprescindible para el desarrollo de la pieza.
Las primeras performances fueron presentadas bajo el formato de conferencia performativa. Posteriormente la pieza fue transformada en un solo de poesía y movimiento.
